Pre-Employment Skills Testing

All skills testing must be approved and/or administered by University Human Resources to ensure uniform test administration and evaluation standards. Questions concerning appropriate testing need to be directed to University Recruitment & Staffing. Departments are prohibited from administering tests to applicants. Interviews should be limited to an examination of the application and resume (if available) and the applicant's education and experience. It is appropriate to ask questions or use hypothetical situations to determine an applicant's experience, knowledge, skills, or abilities.
