| New U.Va. Human Resources Website |
We are pleased to announce that on Monday June 19th University Human Resources (UHR) released a completely revamped U.Va. Human Resources Website. The new website is the result of collaboration from a University-wide team that included representatives from 5 schools and 7 departments throughout the University. Five focus groups were established to help provide input that helped shape the site. These focus groups provided over 100 responses on how to make the site more user friendly and easier to navigate.
New Features of the Site
Explore U.Va. & Charlottesville
The University of Virginia is filled with rich traditions, and Charlottesville is consistently voted one of the best cities in which to live. This feature was designed to help with employee recruitment, especially for prospective employees not familiar with the area. Get an inside look at the culture, the Grounds, and the people that make U.Va. and Charlottesville so special.
Navigation
Utilizing a new navigation scheme, the U.Va. Human Resources Web site was designed to make it easier for our customers to find what they are looking for, from finding a job to checking out benefits or signing up for training. Another added feature is the addition of life events located within the benefits section. The UHR Benefits Office wanted to make it easier for our customers to know exactly what procedures and forms need to be completed for some of the major life events. This section will continue to be updated periodically.
Toolbox
An at-your-fingertips toolbox was added on every page, the toolbox offers direct links to many of the functions, services, and most-used tools that U.Va. Human Resources offers.
News, Announcements and Memos
To help communicate Human Resource related items a section was created on the home page to ensure our customers had access to the latest announcements. Current information will be displayed while older information will be available in a news and announcement archived section.
Search UHR
If you are having trouble finding what you are looking for you can now search the U.Va. Human Resources Web site using the google search engine located on the left hand side of the navigation pane.
