Restructuring Draft Proposals Available May 22

The Higher Education Restructuring legislation provides U.Va. with the opportunity to create a new HR system for University Staff. Nearly 300 of your fellow employees are working on task forces to help create a system that will allow us to recruit, retain, and develop a superior workforce to meet the future needs of the University. The restructured system will have new policies for career development, performance evaluation, and compensation, among others. Draft proposals for the new system will be available for your review and comment.

University Staff will automatically be enrolled in the new system effective January 2009. This fall, Classified Staff will have the opportunity to enroll in this new system for January 2009.

Please take the time to read the proposals your colleagues have created and give us your comments.

You can comment two ways:

Starting May 22, 2008, read the proposals and fill out the on-line response form at the bottom of each proposal at http://hoosonline.virginia.edu/hrrestructuring, OR

You can go to one of these locations for a printed copy which will include a response form:
