This announcement provides information relating to the
University's observance of official recognized holidays for
Calendar Year 2005.
We realize that any one observed holiday may be less than ideal
for certain areas where we expect customers to require our
services. In those instances, essential University services
should be maintained and compensatory leave awarded to those
required to work. Employees who must work on a holiday should
be given adequate advance notice for personal planning
purposes. Questions regarding the provision of essential
customer services should be directed to your respective vice
president.
If the Governor grants any additional holiday time during the
year, this time will be applied to employee leave balances as
compensatory time (float time) and must be used within 12 months
from date awarded.
