The State Bonus Awards for Faculty and Professional
Research Staff will be processed through the Online Personnel
Action System (OPAS). OPAS faculty bonus transactions for
12-month faculty must be received in University Human Resources
no later than August 5, 2002. OPAS faculty bonus transactions
for 9-month faculty must be received in University Human Resources
no later than September 2, 2002.
Current OPAS users will use the following procedure
to initiate the bonus for faculty only:
- Select Faculty Salaried Actions from the main menu
- Select Initiate Faculty Actions
- Select Miscellaneous Changes
- Select Name Changes
For 12-month faculty, please use an effective
date of July 25, 2002. The faculty member will
receive their bonus in the August 30, 2002 paycheck.
For 9-month faculty, please use an effective
date of August 25, 2002. The faculty member will
receive their bonus in the September 30, 2002 paycheck.
- Continue to hit enter until you reach the comments screen
in OPAS. On the comments screen, please key in the dollar
amount the Faculty member is to receive.
Please note: This method of processing is being used
to document the dollar amount of the faculty bonus through
the OPAS system.
