  • Be sure there is at least one subject matter expert on the Committee.
  • Reinforce to Committee members and any additional interview participants that references should not be obtained on any candidate without their consent.
  • If the Search Committees lacks diversity, select additional "interview participants" of a diverse background who may contribute "input and perspective" to the process, as advised by EOP.
  • An alternate finalist should be determined before making a job offer.
  • Due to candidate confidentiality, EMSG can provide summaries of finalist's credentials to non-Committee members participating in the interview process rather than sharing the entire resume if desired.
