Adult Basic Education and GED Exam Information
- Albemarle County, Virginia Adult Basic Education: http://schoolcenter.k12albemarle.org/education/dept/dept.php?sectionid=1806 General Adult Education (GAE) provides instructional services to Charlottesville, Albemarle County and other Central Virginia residents who are working toward a high school diploma (GED). Evening high school classes are offered to these students.
- Nelson County Adult Education http://nelson.k12.va.us/adulteducation.htm Free education to adults who have not completed high school. Free pre-test/assessment, free materials, and free classes.

Information about the GED Exam:
- Regional Adult Eduation, Planning District 10, Adult Learning Center: http://avenue.org/adulted/wn.html Provides services for adults who lack basic skills, a high school diploma, or proficiency in English. Programs are primarily funded through Title II of the Workforce Investment Act.
- Virginia Commonwealth University, The Virginia Adult Learning Resource Center: http://www.vaged.vcu.edu/index.shtml The GED is a group of five tests that measures skills that correspond to those of recent high school graduates.
- GED practice tests on the Internet:
- http://www.4tests.com/ Offers GED practice tests for Science, Literature and the Arts, Math, and Social Studies. They give one question at a time, with an option of seeing the answer and, in math, how the problem is worked out. The site also scores the test for you.
